We have had a number of requests for more detail on the highly successful fundraising campaign that has taken place over the last 3-4 years. Below is an outline of the various pledges received. Once again, we are incredibly grateful to everyone in our community for the tremendous support.
The Centenary Pavilion is a successfully completed project, while the new Eden Road Academic Block and the Specific Land and Building Acquisitions are in the planning stages; a number of the pledges committed have been split over the next 2-5 years.
In line with the overall vison, which was highlighted in the Centenary Trust documentation, donors have options of selecting areas to which to apportion their contributions. A number of these specific areas are long-term endowment structures that we hope to build up over time. Others, such as the Aquatic Centre, are more short-term investments areas, where spending is already taking place. Below is a breakdown of the specific areas of donation within the Cash Received segment.
We are incredibly grateful to the 56 parents and old boys who have so generously supported the specific key areas of donations. Your contributions have been critical in allowing this campaign to gather the vital momentum required.
The Centenary Pathway is the final project still underway. We have sold 161 bricks to date and the path will be unveiled at prize giving this year. We believe this path will be a fantastic legacy for many boys and a talking point of return trips to WPPS for many years.
