The Centenary of WPPS (2014) was a most memorable milestone in the history of our school. There was, and still is, a terrific sense of pride, privilege and excitement on the part of our entire school community.
On this website you will find an overview of our centenary vision, our core areas of focus, and how you still can contribute to the Centenary Foundation Trust Fund. The WPPS Centenary Foundation Trust has Section 18A status as a Public Benefit Organisation. This means that South African taxpayers may be eligible to enjoy a tax deduction for donations up to 10% of annual taxable income.
As part of our centenary celebration, a wonderful WPPS historical book was produced. “A Prep School and Its People”, written by past principal Pauline Pearce, tells the story of 100 years of Western Province Preparatory School and some of the several thousand people who have contributed to its history, creating the special school that we know today.
Please embrace the goals and aspirations of the CENTENARY FOUNDATION. In so doing, you will help secure a promising future for this precious school, and all who will pass through its doors.
If you would like some more information on any of these areas, or if you would like to discuss how you can make a donation, please do not hesitate to contact either Caron Perrott at firstname.lastname@example.org or Simon Weaver (Headmaster) at email@example.com
